Not quite two years old, and The Cheadle Academy’s Sixth Form College has today celebrated another set of pleasing results at A Level and equivalent examination results.
Not only has the Academy and Sixth Form College recently received a Good judgement by Ofsted across all aspects of its work, but the inspectors particularly praised the college saying “students’ outcomes are good…Teaching in the sixth form is good…Students behave well in the sixth form and are well-motivated…Students are effective role models for younger pupils in the school.”
Principal, Neil Jamieson said; “As a small 6th Form college it is critical that we support students in becoming well rounded individuals. As a college, we offer a wide range of vocational and non- vocational courses, which is supported by a fantastic enrichment programme. These results show the character of our students, they are fantastic ambassadors for this new and thriving Sixth Form College and we are proud of each and every one of them”.
The college achieved some great results in English Language, Art, PE and Business Studies, with Health and Social Care and ICT also achieving some fantastic outcomes. Amongst the particularly high achievers are Jack Hammond, with an A in Geography and History and a B in Maths. Jack is looking forward to studying History at Loughborough University. Alfie Walford successfully achieved B grades across English Language, English Literature and History.
Students spoke enthusiastically of their experiences at Cheadle Sixth Form College, citing the tremendous support received from Mrs Allsopp and her colleagues, both in academic and pastoral terms.
