A life-saving service is calling for new recruits at some of its Moorlands bases

-

A life-saving service is calling for new recruits at some of its Moorlands bases.

Staffordshire Fire & Rescue is appealing for retained on-call fire-fighters at their Leek and Longnor stations.

Retained on-call fire fighters are paid to respond to emergencies from their home or place of work.

They also carry out important fire prevention work in their local communities, helping people to stay safe in their homes.

A spokesman for the service said: “If you think you’re eligible and you are up for a new, rewarding challenge, please come along to one of our retained on-call drill nights.

“This will give you the opportunity to find out more about what it takes to become a retained on-call firefighter and have the opportunity to get some of your questions answered.”
