About us
Moorlands Radio is the Staffordshire Moorlands’ only dedicated local radio station and one of the most exciting community projects to be launched in the area in recent years.
Broadcasting twenty-four hours a day to this predominantly rural part of North Staffordshire, we aim to maintain a professional standard of programming whilst giving local people the opportunity to get involved in their very own local radio. We are a not-for-profit organisation, with no shareholders demanding a share of our profits, so all our advertising revenue is put back into producing quality programmes for you.
Our daytime programming consists of a great variety of music from the past 40 years along with newer songs we know you’ll love. But it’s not all about the music — our team of popular, experienced presenters take you through the day with local news and sport, chat and interviews, guests and competitions as well as the weather and traffic information you need.
By night and at weekends, Moorlands Radio’s team of experienced specialist music presenters open up their record boxes to bring you the best in local music, country, classical, dance and more. Expect the unexpected — tune into Moorlands Radio after 7pm.
The station has been in development since 2003 and for many of us, the full-time broadcast is the culmination of six years’ hard work.
