Guest FAQs
Hundreds of people pass through the doors of Moorlands Radio each month for interviews and on-air appearances. Talking to local people and organisations is a huge part of what we do–and if you’ve agreed to come to Moorlands Radio for interview, we’d like to thank you on behalf of our staff and listeners.
To get the most out of your appearance, it would be valuable to take note of the following points:
- What should I do before I come in? Please tell everyone you know that you’re coming on air! If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, tell your followers and fans that you’re appearing on Moorlands Radio (@moorlandsradio on Twitter). It’ll encourage questions and interaction. In return, we’ll retweet and tell our almost 1,000 social networking followers about your appearance.
- Where are you? Our address is 3 Stockwell Villas, Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands, ST13 6DN. We are located to the rear of Moorlands House. Full directions are available by clicking here. We have a comfortable waiting area / reception, so please feel free to come in 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your interview for a look around and a chat.
- Can I have a copy of the interview? Unfortunately, due to resources we are unable to offer you a copy of the interview on CD. However, we’ll be happy to email you a copy as an MP3 file, with any music removed for copyright reasons. Please allow a week or so for this to arrive before contacting us to follow up–editing interviews for guests is done in spare volunteer time and the live broadcast has to come first. In addition, please make sure your email address can accept MP3 attachments of up to 20MB.
- Should I bring anything with me? Yes! If there’s something you need to bring that’s relevant to the subject of your interview, bring it along. We only ask that you don’t enter the studio with food, and we have no facilities to accommodate pets. Tea, coffee and chilled water (and, if you’re lucky, cake!) are all available to guests at no charge.
With thanks to RedShift Radio for the idea.
