Detectives from Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a shop just over the border of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Detectives from Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a shop just over the border of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

At around 8.55am, on Saturday March 30, police were called to a report of a robbery involving a weapon at the Premier Stores in Birches Head Road in Stoke-on-Trent.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Cigarettes, a bottle of vodka and money were taken. No one was injured.

“A 22-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”

Staffordshire Police have released CCTV images of another man they want to speak in connection with the incident. This picture can be found on the Moorlands Radio website. Anyone who recognises the man is urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 190 of 30 March.
