Enviornment Agency workers are treating a Moorlands river after an oil leakage.

The incident has affected the Dove close to Hartington village.
There are no reports of fish being affected, but a wading bird has been found dead.
The oil is thought to leaked come from the former Hartington cheese factory site.

Mr Langford-Mycock died at his home on Sunday February 12, aged 65.

He was an ex-president of the Staffordshire branch of the National FarmersUnion and 
served on its national council for 10 years.

Donations will be forwarded to Waterhouses First Responders.

The penalty would bring the Moorlands into line with its alliance partner High Peak
Borough Council.

Council leader Sybil Ralphs says she is not in favour of the proposal.

It would be the first hike imposed by the district council for four years.

Councillors have agreed to no increase this year.

Finance chiefs are advising a 1.9 per cent increase for 2013-2014, and 2014-2015.

The council is faced with having to make savings of £3.6 million over the next four years.

It proposed increase is to help counter a cut in Government funding.
