Karen Bradley MP is encouraging Local shops and businesses to apply for recognition in a national award.
The Best Small Shops competition celebrates, not only the commitment and creativity of entrepreneurial independent retailers on the UK’s High Streets but also, the central role independent retailers play in building local communities.

ape is changing and ever evolving, giving independent retailers the opportunity to enter the market space in a unique way, offering customers specialist knowledge, products and customer service. The Best Small Shops competition gives us the chance to celebrate this unique industry and show consumers what makes these small shops just so special.
“We have so many great local shops in Staffordshire Moorlands that contribute to the local economy. My family and I enjoy the wealth of products and produce that we have right here on our doorstep and always try to shop locally and support our local businesses.
I would therefore like to encourage small shopkeepers in Staffordshire Moorlands to enter the Best Small Shops Competition, celebrating the creativity of small shops and the central role they play in their local community.”
