Last week the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League announced that Leek Town had won the Fair Play award for the month of December.
The Blues picked up the award having received just two cautions and no dismissals in four league games during the final month of 2018.
They beat Colwyn Bay, Droylsden, Trafford and local rivals Kidsgrove Athletic to the award.
Across the full season, they sit 2nd in the fair play table behind Trafford who have had 20 yellow cards and no reds. While Leek have had 23 yellows and two reds.
Ahead of Saturday’s game at Ramsbottom, Assistant manager Pete Ward spoke about the importance of keeping discipline.
