Local teenager is taking part in a charity pageant

A teenager, who lives just on the border of the Staffordshire Moorlands, is a semi-finalist for an annual national pageant

17-year-old Meg Wright is taking part in a charity pageant called Miss Sovereign Great Britain.

As part of her being in the competition, Meg, who lives in Baddeley Green, is raising money for two children’s charities and will be hosting a special event this summer.

The Charity Event on Friday, July 12 at the Baddeley Green Club, will include an 80s night disco with dressing up as optional.

Doors will open at 7.30pm and there will be a bar and a raffle.
All funds are set to be donated to the Peter Pan Centre for children with special needs and the Caudwell Children charity.
