Masked Gunman Being Hunted After Armed Robbery In Leek


Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery which took place at a shop in Leek last night (August 13).

A man entered Premier Stores, in Southbank Street, at 10pm on Tuesday holding what is believed to have been a pistol and stole a large amount of cash from the till.

Firearms officers attended the scene and carried a full search and patrol of the area.
An investigation is now underway.

The suspect is a white male believed to be between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall, wearing a black cloth over his face, revealing only his eyes. He was of slim-medium build and wore all dark clothing including black or blue shoes, jeans, hat and jacket. He also wore dark gloves and held the weapon in his right hand.

Anyone with information is urged call Police on 101 quoting incident number 860 of August 13 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
