On The Road With The Blues – Charnock Richard

A Brief History

The current club is the third version of the club to have been in existence. The original club was formed in 1933 but had to disband on the outbreak of the Second World War.

Following the end of hostilities, the club was re-formed in 1945 and was very successful on the pitch but over-stretched itself by trying to run two teams and disbanded in 1949.

The current club was formed in 1955 under the leadership of Ron Wilcox.
