Police are appealing for witnesses following a number of incidents in a Moorlands town

Police are appealing for witnesses following a number of incidents in a Moorlands town.

A moped was stolen from Goodwood Avenue in Cheadle recently.

The theft took place between 11.30pm on June 3 and 9am on June 4, The moped is described as a Peugeot Speedfight in the colour blue.

Meanwhile, a handbag has been stolen from the Bramley Close area of Cheadle.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm and 3.45pm yesterday – Tuesday, June 4.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “We are asking if anyone saw a white pickup type vehicle in the area which had a canopy on the back.”

The black Chanel handbag was stolen from inside a shopping bag which had flowers on it and the word Lavita on it.

Anyone with any information about either of these incidents is urged to contact Staffordshire Polcie on 101.
