Police are urging people in the Moorlands to be on the look out for a vehicle which is believed to have been involved in the theft of sheep.
Five lambs were stolen from a farm in Penkridge area of Staffordshire overnight on April 26 and April 27.
A spokesman for the force said: “We have received information that a vehicle involved in sheep theft in Penkridge is a white Mercedes tipper truck with the partial registration number of KS65O.”
The spokesman added: “If anyone sees this vehicle near to fields with livestock, please call police straight away on 101. Or call 999 if a crime is in progress.”
Meanwhile the Moorlands Police team have confirmed that they arrested a male in Biddulph’s Sainsbury’s yesterday – Monday April 29.
He was arrested on a theft offence. The spokesman said: “It turns out that he was wanted for numerous other offences.”
