Police offer advice on how to your protect valuables

Police are advising residents across the Moorlands to take certain steps to protect their property.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “When items are stolen, such as trailers, caravans, or even cars; we want to locate the offenders and get the property returned to the owner.

“It can be really helpful if there’s a distinctive feature about your property which would make it stand out, when we’re searching for it.”

Police are asking residents to consider using items such as stickers in car windows, or paint a part of your trailer a different colour.

The spokesman added: “The first hour is vital when searching for stolen motors etc, before they are taken to a workshop and broken down or sold on.”

If your property is valuable then think about investing in a tracker or browse the internet for a product most suitable for your needs.
