Proposals for a soft play area in a Moorlands village have been resubmitted

-

Proposals for a soft play area in a Moorlands village have been resubmitted after being refused by planners the first time round.
Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has received a second planing application for the proposed change of use of part of redundant agricultural building to children’s soft play area and associated works at Round Meadows Farm, Rownall Road in Wetley Rocks.
If planning permission is granted, the venue would offer eight jobs – two full-time and six part-time.
However, the application has come up against opposition from Cheddleton Parish Council. In a letter of objection to the district council, a spokesman for the parish council said: “We refused the previous application and still uphold that this application is overdevelopment and inappropriate access on greenbelt land.”
The final decision is set to be made by the district council’s planning department.
