Residents urged to secure valuables after man was arrested for stealing items from a garden

-

Police are appealing for residents in the Moorlands to ensure valuable items are secure.

This follows an incident in Biddulph where a man was arrested for stealing items from a garden.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “During the early hours of September 5, a male gained entry to the garden of a property on Charles Street.”

Items were taken from the garden and damage was also caused. Officers arrested the offender shortly after the incident was reported.

The spokesman added: “We would like to remind everyone to keep all valuables safely locked away and to ensure deterrents are in place where possible.”

Meanwhile, Staffordshire Police are hosting a Police Drop-in Surgery at the One Stop Library in Cheadle’s High Street tomorrow (Saturday September 8) between 10am and midday.
