Staffordshire Police are urging residents in the Moorlands to be extra vigilant after a number of incidents in the district.

On May 15, a white Ford Transit van was reported as being suspicious in Park Lane, Ipstones.

A spokesman for the force said: “Two males were parked in a gate hole near to a farm property messing with a gate and padlock. When they were challenged they have jumped into the van and driven off.”

Meanwhile, on May 16, between the hours of 6.20pm and 7.45pm, a car, which had been parked in the Biddulph Leisure Centre car park, was damaged; while in the early hours of May 17 a garage in Parklands Road in Tean was broken into; and police have also received a couple of reports about sheds being broken into in the Cheddleton area recently.

Anyone with any information about any of theses incidents is urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101.
