Review by Ian Kendrick: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is running from 23rd June to the 27th June 2026, at the Regent theatre, Stoke on Trent. The story originated from a children’s novel written by Roald Dahl in 1964 and is a story of poverty, hope, love and adventure from the eyes and mind of one Charlie Bucket. The band consists of three young teenage friends—Olivia on vocals, plus Will and Olly—who perform raw, high-energy original music and covers inspired by bands like Green Day and Blink-182. Stoke Rep plays a vital role in the cultural scene across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire. It's over 100 years old, dating back to 1920 when a group of young people interested in amateur theatre came together to put on a play to raise money for charity.
