Mobile Apps

The Moorlands Radio Android and Apple iOS apps provide live radio streaming for Moorlands Radio DAB and Moorlands Radio FM, background audio playback, lock-screen media controls, track information, album artwork, website links, sharing options, a sleep timer, and a Message the Studio form.

The apps do not require users to create an account and do not ask for dates of birth, payment details, photos, contacts, precise location, or health information.

If you use the Message the Studio form, we collect the name and message you enter so that your message can be sent to the studio email address. Messages are treated as plain text.

When you listen to a stream, our streaming provider may receive standard technical information needed to deliver the audio, such as your IP address, device or app technical information, connection time, stream selected, and listening statistics. This is used to provide the live audio service, maintain security, diagnose faults, and understand listening levels.

Track artist and title metadata may be used to request album artwork from an artwork provider. This request is based on the song information being broadcast and is not linked to an app account.

Google, Apple, and app store services may process download, installation, diagnostics, crash, performance, and security information under their own privacy policies and developer terms.

The Android app uses a local media playback notification so that playback controls can be shown while audio is playing. This is not used for marketing notifications.

Alexa Skill

The Moorlands Radio Alexa skill allows you to ask Alexa to open or play Moorlands Radio.

The skill does not require account linking and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, payment details, or precise location.

Amazon may process your voice request, Alexa device information, skill usage information, and related technical data in order to operate Alexa and route your request to the skill. Amazon controls that data under its own privacy notices and Alexa settings.
