Newcastle Town to welcome returning 1874 Northwich on opening day.

Newcastle Town will host new boys 1874 Northwich in their opening game of the Northern Premier League West season on Tuesday 11^th August.

1874 won promotion from the Midlands League Premier Division last season as they defeated rivals Northwich Victoria in the playoff final to end a two-season absence from the Northern Premier League.

That game is subject to not needing a replay in their FA Cup tie against Atherstone Town. Should they need a replay, they will start the season on the 15^th August at Bootle.

Newcastle’s season will end with a trip to local rivals Kidsgrove Athletic on the 17^th April.

Boxing Day sees Neil Bakers’ men head to Shifnal Town, while 2027 is rung in with a home tie with Hanley Town, who provide the opposition on August Bank Holiday Monday. Newcastle visit Congleton on the last day of October, while their final home game of the season is against the Bears.
