Reminder Not to Burn Waste Following Increase in Incidents

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue are reminding residents to avoid burning household and garden waste after we attended several controlled burns recently. Crews were called at 5.50pm on Sunday (12 April), to a home in the Garmelow area of Stafford following reports of a controlled burn which had spread to a fence. Dates Announced for Changes to Food and Garden Waste Collections

With Councils across England now required to collect food waste each week, the District Council has announced that preparations are underway to commence this service in the Moorlands at the end of June when residents will need to present any food waste separately from garden waste. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service have appointed a new Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) following a rigorous selection process.
