Majority of Staffs Parents Offered Top Choice of Primary School

The majority of parents in Staffordshire will find out today (April 16) that they have been allocated their first-choice primary school. Nearly 95 per cent of parents will find out that they have been allocated a place at their top preferred primary school, with more than 99 per cent being offered one of their top three. Programme of Improvements for Staffordshire Schools Approved

A plan for maintenance and repairs at Staffordshire schools over the next year has been approved. The Capital Programme for Schools 2026/27 will see upgraded facilities for schools, including refurbished playgrounds, updated toilet blocks and repaired roofs. The programme will also include upgrades to make schools more sustainable, replacing inefficient heating systems with more environmentally friendly options and improving insulation.
