New Deputy Chief Fire Officer Appointed

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service have appointed a new Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) following a rigorous selection process. Michelle Hickmott has been appointed as DCFO and will take up her new role in June, when Chief Fire Officer Rob Barber retires from the service and current DCFO Glynn Luznyj takes his post. Cheadle Driver Jailed for Dangerous Driving

A woman, who hit 80mph on a 60mph road in Cheadle before crashing, has been jailed. Faye Dawson, 50, from Cheadle, was sentenced to one-year-and-two-months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court recently, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving at a previous hearing. She was also disqualified from driving for four years-and-seven months. It happened on Friday 7 March last year when Dawson lost control of the Vauxhall Corsa she was driving on Delphouse Road.
