Carol Lovatt in Conversation with Robbie Campbell of the Windrush Generation Festival

Carol talks to Robbie Campbell about the Windrush Generation Festival happening at Smithfield Park in Stoke-on-Trent this coming Saturday.

The festival is a commemorative and celebratory event focused on fundraising and local Caribbean heritage and culture.  Robbie discusses his parents journey from Jamaica to Stoke-on-Trent and how that generation came over to work and contribute to society after the War.

He also mentions the disgraceful Windrush scandal which is still ongoing.  The festival will be full of fabulous music including raggae, soul and dub, holiday vibes, authentic Jamaican food, a fun fair and lots more.  Carol also found out that the money raised will be going to an orphanage in Mombasa.
