Dave Stringer in Conversation with the Buxton Opera House Panto Cast

30 October 2026

It is nearly time for the panto season and Buxton always does a really good family friendly production.

Sleeping Beauty is this year’s show and every panto needs a good villain and, in contrast, someone who can really react to the young people in the audience.

In this, they hav the excellent Catherine Pugh and Jamie Davis-Fletcher who is no stranger to the Opera House stage. Dave Stringer managed to catch up with them at the panto launch.

Everyone dreams of being either a beautiful panto princess or the handsome prince who will make all of a young girl’s wishes come true.

Buxton Opera House’s production of Sleeping Beauty has picked the perfect pair. Georgia Gallagher and Ross Clifton found love at a previous Peak District panto and this lends a distinct something extra to their traditional panto skills.
