Carol Lovatt in Conversation with Andrew Nicklin – Film Theatre Stoke

Carol chats with Andrew Nicklin, Director of the Film Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent, about the move from the Staffordshire University site to it’s new home at the Wade Institute in Hartshill and about the exciting autumn season ahead.

Founded in 1974, the Film Theatre shows films which are different to mainstream cinemas although they also show a good blockbuster too.  The Film Theatre is the leading independent cinema in the city and it prides itself on screening independent cinema, cult favourites, world film and retro classics.  The Film Theatre is a charity which operates with volunteers and donations and yet it strives to be an excellent provider of great entertainment in a comfortable and friendly setting where everyone is warmly welcomed and where a guaranteed good night is the norm.

This Autumn films include Gold Diggers of 1933, Mad Max 2, Coyote vs Acme, Bitter Christmas, The Death of Robin Hood and Pressure, to name just a few on offer.  A wonderful hub of great cinema in the heart of the Potteries featuring this week on A View From The Wings Podcast..
